Chelsea youngster Tyrique George is reportedly leaning towards a move away from Stamford Bridge as he looks to secure more consistent first-team opportunities before the current transfer window closes.
The highly rated winger has attracted strong interest from clubs in England and across Europe, with Chelsea understood to be open to discussions should the right proposal arrive. According to reports, there is growing confidence within football circles that a deal could materialise in the coming days.
George, who has impressed at youth level with his pace, directness, and attacking flair, is keen to accelerate his development by playing regular senior football—something that has proven difficult to guarantee amid Chelsea’s crowded attacking options.
While the Blues continue to monitor his situation, any potential move is expected to prioritise game time and development, with both loan and permanent options believed to be under consideration.
The teenage star, 19, is free to leave Chelsea and that could see him swap west London for the north west, in what would be a surprising deal.
George joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight years old, signing a new deal with the club in June 2024, before making his debut just two months later.
All in all, he’s already featured 37 times for the first-team, scoring six goals – including a strike against Ajax back in October in the Champions League, once in the FIFA Club World Cup over the summer as Chelsea won the trophy, as well as a crucial goal that saw the Blues move into the Champions League spaces in April against Fulham.
However, George’s latest appearance in the Premier League only came back in October, a late cameo in a 2-1 defeat to Sunderland.
