The former Ghana international believes the Ayew brothers have lost form and should be left out of the Black Stars team.
Former Ghanaian international and Asante Kotoko player, Kofi Badu has strongly lashed out at Black Stars captain Andre Ayew and his younger brother Jordan Ayew, stating it is time for the duo to bid good bye to the national team.
Speaking on Kessben FM, the Asante Kotoko legend cliamed both have served enough but are fortunate to still be part of the Black Stars as a result of their father Abedi Pele’s influence.
“If Jordan and Dede Ayew were not the sons of Abedi Pele, Abedi Pele would have long called for them to be out of black stars. Let’s say the truth. It’s obvious. They have played the black stars for quite a long time and it’s time for them to leave,” Badu said.
“It’s obvious we don’t have a team. Look at Ethiopia, they are willing to kill themselves.” He added.
The Ayew brothers are currently one of the longest serving members of the team having their debuts in 2007 (Dede) and 2010 (Jordan) respectively.
The two are currently with the team in Japan for the Kirin 4-Nation Cup.
Kofi Badu was an African Club Championship finalist in 1982 and later won it in 1983 with Asante Kotoko SC.
