Black Stars goalkeeping coach Richard Kingson has revealed that former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mutawakilu Seidu could be invited to the national team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff tie against Nigeria.
“I have about 15 goalkeepers that I am monitoring for Ghana. Some are in Africa especially Mutawakilu Seidu, Annan of West Ham and a host of others” Richard Kingston told Hot FM in Accra.
Ghana were eliminated from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations after group play after failing to win a single game in Cameroon.
Seidu has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Nigeria since making the move to Enugu Rangers in April 2017.
