Under-fire Accra Hearts of Oak manager Coach Martin Koopman says the club’s inability to score goals is essentially because Ghana lacks potent strikers.
According to him, even the the country’s men senior national team- Black Stars do not have wingers and strikers to score goals for the team, let alone the former Caf Champions League winners.
His comments come following the Phobians poor scoring form this season, especially in their goalless drawn game against FC Samartex.
Speaking after the game on Saturday afternoon, the Dutch trainer said: “I’m not the problem here; it’s a national issue. Even the Black Stars don’t have wingers and strikers to score goals.
He added that: “Ghanaian players like holding onto the ball too much, and they need to develop.”
