Ghana Cycling Team at the 13th All-African Games have failed to deliver as they have been less competitive. The head coach of Ghana’s Cycling team made a shocking revelation in an interview when he was asked about their main problem.
“We are proud to represent Ghana in this competition, however, we have not been provided with the necessary equipment to compete on a level playing field.
“Our competitors have nice, modern bicycles while we had to purchase old ones using our own money,” said Mensah Rudolph.
“Even the chains and tyres, as well as our cycling kits, are outdated. If the government had provided us with the proper equipment, we, as Team Ghana, would have been able to showcase our true potential and demonstrate what we are truly capable of,” added Coach Rudolph Mensa.
The coach bemoaned the lack of preparations and support from Ghana which has subsequently led to their downfall.
The 13th All-African Games is underway with many countries looking prepared compared to Ghana.
