Ghana’s Black Stars top scorer in the history of the CAF organized Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Andre Ayew has been named in the team for the game against Central Africa Republic.
The clubless Skipper has been given a chance to serve as a lifeline to find himself a club as soon as possible with a shock Black Stars call-up.
Chris Hughton, the head coach for the Black Stars team has included the Ghana player with most goals at AFCON for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Kumasi next Thursday after at the Baba Yara Sports.
Despite not making any appearances in club football this campaign and without a club, the Ghana coach has however deemed it fit to give the captain a call-up.
He could feature in the all important game with Ghana in need of a draw to secure qualification to the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast next year.
