Everton have named Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as their new manager on a two and half tear deal.
The former Chelsea boss signed the dotted lines on Monday and he has been tasked to help lift the club into the higher ranks of the league table.
Lampard was sacked by Chelsea a year ago over poor output and Everton shareholder Farhad Moshiri is hoping he will be excel with the Toffees.
“I am really delighted that Frank has joined us. He is an impressive young man on and off the pitch. He has played at the very highest level of the game and has football in his blood. He impressed us all greatly during the thorough interview process and we’re all ready to give him all of our support as he looks to give the team an immediate boost.” Moshiri told his club’s website.
Lampard first assignment would be against Brentford at Goodison Park on February 5.
