Aduana Stars head coach, Joseph Asare Bediako has expressed disappointment in his team after being beaten at home by Asante Kotoko in Dormaa Ahenkro on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Georges Mfegue and Richmond Lamptey ensured coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and his side picked all three points in the crucial clash.
Speaking after the game Asare Bediako said, his team failed to deliver simply because his midfielders failed to play according to tactics.
“Everything was in a mess. You see we were forced to make a change as early as possible. Eric Kwakwa couldn’t kick and hold the ball the way we wanted him to do. His tackling was poor and that’s why we changed him.”
” It’s a big blow to us having lost to King Faisal here too. We are supposed to be winning our home games.”
Aduana Stars are occupying the third position with 20 points.
“I am very very sad today because I was not expecting such a result. They [Kotoko] took over the midfield. Honestly, I am disappointed in my players because they didn’t play the way we wanted them to do.
