Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC interim coach David Ocloo has been named as the new assistant coach for rival club Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The former Liberty Professionals FC gaffer is returning to the Porcupine Warriors for a second stint ahead of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Ocloo is linking up with former boss Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum as his assistant coach at Kotoko after leaving the Rainbow Boys at the end of the 2022-23 season.
He was the assistant coach at Kotoko for the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season when he worked under Prosper Narteh Ogum who has been reappointed as the tactician for the Reds.
During his time at the club under Ogum, the Porcupines ended their eight year wait for the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2021-22 season before leaving the club when his boss was sacked.
He is currently in the Garden City ahead of the the team’s pre-season tour as they gear up for the highly anticipated 2023-24 Ghana Premier League season.
