Former Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper, Nana Banyin Crentsil has confessed to burrying a human heart before a game against Asante Kotoko.
According to Nana Banyin Crentsil he was forced to perform that act in the name of getting lack against Asante Kotoko.
He said the management of Accra Hearts of Oak brought the heart covered in blood to the team’s camp while preparing for the 1990 President’s Cup.
Nana Banyin Crentsil said in an interview with Dan Kweku Yeboah that as the captain of the team, they told him it was his responsibility to burry the heart.
“They brought a heart drenched in blood to camp. They gave us a pin to recite something and thrust it into the heart. I was the captain by then so they all did and they gave me the heart to bury it at 12:00 am,” Nana Banyin said in an interview with Dan Kwaku Yeboah.
“I won’t show you where I buried it because I want to come to Ghana so that everyone sees it,” he said.
He added that despite doing the extras, they lost the game 4-2.
“Those were difficult times, I nearly committed suicide because it was too much I couldn’t take it any longer,” the ex-goalkeeper said
