Former Asante Kotoko striker Amed Simba Toure has recommended the dynamic Beninese winger Romaric Amoussou to his former club ahead of the summer transfer window, Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively report.
Currently sitting in 10th position on the league table with 40 points after 29 matches, Kotoko’s coach Prosper Ogum is determined to address the team’s deficiencies for the upcoming season. Despite a challenging campaign, the team is focused on ending the season strongly.
Romaric Amoussou, who recently had a transfer to Egyptian side Ismaily fall through, is now being considered by Asante Kotoko.
The 23-year-old winger, who has a contract with Coton FC until June 2024, has had an impressive season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in all competitions.
Sportsworldghana sources reveal that Amoussou will be in Kumasi soon to meet with the club’s hierarchy for negotiations.
Amoussou is also expected to be part of Benin’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.
