Asante Kotoko have initiated discussions with Rwandan international forward Patrick Sibomama regarding a potential transfer, according to a report from Nhyira FM.
The Porcupines are seeking to bolster their attacking options after missing out on Guinean forward Morrifing Donzo, who decided to stay with Hafia Club.
Kotoko have turned their attention to Sibomama, a 27-year-old free agent who has ended his stint with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
The experienced striker has played for several clubs in Rwanda, Belarus, and Tanzania, as well as Mozambique, and has featured 17 times for the Rwandan national team, scoring two goals.
Sibomama’s playing style allows him to operate on the left wing, but he can also play centrally or on the right flank. He played a crucial role in Rwanda’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers first round games.
According to Nhyira FM, Kotoko and Sibomama have reached an advanced stage in their talks, with the team trying to agree on personal terms before moving to Kumasi for his medical.
