Asante Kotoko SC has entered into advanced negotiations with Hisense, a global electronics and appliance manufacturer, regarding the renewal of their sponsorship contract., Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively report.
This follows the expiration of the initial three-year sponsorship agreement between the two outfits which saw the Chinese company become the club’s headline sponsor.
This potential renewal reflects the mutually beneficial partnership between the two organizations that has flourished over the past three years.
The Chinese multinational electronics manufacturer became the official electronic partner of the club under the administration of Nana Yaw Amponsah before the start of the 2020/21 season in a deal worth GH₵3million a year in cash and products from the electronics manufacturer.
Kotoko also received products worth GH₵230,000 to furnish its Adako Jachie training facility from Hisense.
However, the contracted expired after the 2022/23 season. Sportsworldghana’s sources close to the discussions have indicated that both parties are keen on extending their collaboration, which has not only elevated the profile of Asante Kotoko but has also boosted the brand visibility of Hisense within the sports industry.
The previous sponsorship agreement allowed Hisense to prominently display its logo on the team’s jerseys and within the stadium during matches, generating substantial exposure for their products and services.
While the details of the renewed contract are yet to be finalized, both parties are believed to be enthusiastic about the prospects of continuing their partnership. This potential extension not only signifies the commitment of Hisense to the growth of football in Ghana but also highlights Asante Kotoko’s dedication to achieving excellence both on the pitch and in their collaborations with corporate partners.
