In an exclusive report, Sportsworldghana.com has revealed that Asante Kotoko is currently in negotiations with Bofoakwa Tano to secure the signing of talented defender, Emmanuel Ankrah.
Ankrah, who is only 19 years old, has attracted interest from several Ghana Premier League clubs, including Aduana Stars and his current club, Bofoakwa Tano.
While Aduana Stars have shown interest in Ankrah, it is Asante Kotoko who have taken the lead in negotiations with Bofoakwa Tano.
The Porcupines have been in discussions for approximately 10 days to bring Ankrah on board, as they aim to strengthen their squad following a series of departures after the previous season.
With Ankrah’s contract with Bofoakwa Tano set to expire in the summer of 2026, Asante Kotoko is eager to finalize a deal to secure his services.
As head coach Prosper Ogum continues to make adjustments to the squad ahead of the 2024/25 season, Asante Kotoko is looking to add depth and quality to their team.
Ankrah, who made 29 appearances in the Premier League, has shown promise and potential, making him a valuable target for the Porcupines.
