Asante Kotoko has finalized an agreement to bring in former Legon Cities winger Stephen Appiah Asare in the current transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors have been actively seeking new talent following the release of 21 first-team players at the end of the previous season.
Appiah, aged 28, has impressed Dr. Ogum and the technical team at Asante Kotoko, sparking discussions about a potential move to the club based in Kumasi.
However, Ghana Premier League transfer expert, Mohammed Shaban, has confirmed that Kotoko have reached a preliminary agreement with the winger and are set to conduct a medical at the Komfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi before completing the transfer officially.
Appiah joined Legon Cities in the second round of the season, playing in 14 matches during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
He managed to score two goals and provide one assist for the Royals during his stint with the club.
