Asante Kotoko have finalized the acquisition of the prolific attacking midfielder cum striker, Mohammed Abdul Rahman, during the ongoing transfer window.
Rahman, who boasts versatility as he can also perform as a striker, has committed to a three-year contract with the Porcupines. The official unveiling of Rahman is imminent and will take place in the upcoming days, following the successful completion of his mandatory medical assessment.
This addition stands as a significant boost for the Porcupines as they prepare themselves for the forthcoming season.
Rahman is currently stationed alongside the Porcupines at their training base in Beposo, where the team is actively engaged in their pre-season preparations.
Notably, Mohammed Rahman played a pivotal role in Nsoatreman’s successful qualification for the Ghana Premier League last year. Subsequently, he embarked on a move to Germany, joining the lower-tier side FC BW Feldkirch. During his time there, he showcased his prowess by scoring 6 goals and delivering 2 assists in 9 matches.
Prior to his international venture, Rahman had achieved remarkable feats with Nsoatreman. Two seasons ago, he astonishingly recorded 15 goals and contributed with 15 assists in just 28 starts within Ghana’s second-tier league, winning 10 MVP awards.
