Top scorer of the Ghana Premier League Mizack Afriyie has safely landed in Belgium ahead of move to KRC Genk, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The youngster is expected to have a few days trials with the Belgium Jupiler Pro League team ahead of a proposed move to the club.
In-form Ghanaian attacker Joseph Paintsil is already making name for himself this season at the Blue and Whites outfit and could have a compatriot in Afriyie.
Afriyie has been one of the most important players for his team Berekum Chelsea in the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season with 70 percent of the team’s goals this season.
The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile forward has 12 goals and three assists in the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League and is the top scorer in the domestic league.
He’s expected to sign a long term contract with the club should everything goes as planned by the close of next week.
