Bulgarian club Ludogorets Razgrad has placed a substantial price tag of €6 million on Ghanaian international Bernard Tekpetey as numerous clubs express interest in the player during the ongoing summer transfer window, Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively report.
Tekpetey, who showcased impressive form for Ludogorets last season as they clinched the domestic double, has attracted attention from clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb, PSV Eindhoven, Red Star Belgrade, and Anderlecht, among others.
The 25-year-old forward made 27 appearances in the Bulgarian top-flight, netting 8 goals and providing 5 assists. His dynamic style of play has made him a coveted target, particularly for Dinamo Zagreb, who have made an official approach for the Ghanaian.
Igor Bišćan, the manager of Dinamo Zagreb, holds a strong admiration for Tekpetey and is keen on securing his services in the upcoming transfer window.
However, negotiations have reached a standstill as Ludogorets’s asking price of €6 million is deemed excessive by potential suitors, leading to a temporary impasse in the deal.
Following a successful season-long loan, Bernard Tekpetey made his move to Ludogorets Razgrad permanent on June 29, 2021. He formed a formidable partnership with Elvis Manu, contributing significantly to Ludogorets’ triumph in both the league title and the Bulgarian Cup.
As clubs continue to monitor the situation, the €6 million valuation set by Ludogorets presents a significant hurdle to overcome, temporarily halting any progress in the transfer negotiations.
