Newly promoted Serie A side Cremonese have agreed to a €7 million deal with AS Roma for Felix Afena-Gyan, sportsworldghana.com understands.
This represents a breakthrough in negotiations after a few days where the two clubs were locked in talks for the young forward.
With the signing of Paulo Dybala and the club’s intention of signing a more experienced striker, Felix has been deemed surplus to requirements and Roma have been looking to cash in on him despite signing him to a new deal this summer.
The 19-year-old made his professional debut in 2021 for AS Roma and has since then scored two competitive goals for the club. He played a part in their UEFA Europa Conference league win over Feyenoord.
Afena-Gyan has also made some appearances for the Black Stars, finding the net on one occasion and helping the team book a place in the 2022 World Cup.
He will likely be testing his might at a different club soon.
