Ghana international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has opted to sign for SV Werder Bremen, according to Sky Germany.
Several including SC Freiburg have been linked with the FC St. Pauli attacking midfielder following an explosive display in the 2021/22 Bundesliga season.
The 26-year-old, entering the final year of his contract has long been a player the Kiezkicker considered cashing in on.
Sky’s German outfit announced that SV Werder Bremen won the race for him on a broadcast program over the weekend.
The Ghanaian star scored 13 goals and provided d 11 assists across all competitions last season for his Hamburg-based club.
”Daniel-Kofi Kyereh received calls from his agent when the Black Stars team was in Cape Coast. The technical team decided to let him go in order to sort out his transfer,” Henry Asante, Ghana FA’s communications director, told Oyerepa FM last week.
Originally, Kyereh was supposed to play the semi-finals of the Kirin Cup in Tokyo with his national team against Japan on Friday, after he was last on the pitch in the 1-1 draw against Central African Republic in the 2023 Cup of Nations qualifier match- but that didn’t happen. Instead, traveled back to Germany to seal the move.
His current market value stands at €3 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.

Kyereh has a contract with St. Pauli until the summer of 2023.
