Ghanaian midfielder Junior Agyekum has joined Canadian Premier League side Atletico Ottawa on a three-year deal.
Agyekum, 20, moved to the Ontario based club from Thomson Rivers WolfPack where he was adjudged the player of the season for 2022 in their title winning side.
The talented youngster who can operate anywhere in midfield has already pointed out that he is ready for action and will do his best for the club.
“My experience has helped develop me into a more mature player and has given me tools to my arsenal which I can hopefully use to my advantage,” said Agyekum. “I work extremely hard off the ball and am not afraid to put in a tackle. On the ball, I like to try and drive forward on the dribble or connect and combine with my teammates.
He previously also featured for Vancouver Whitecaps Academy as well Rivers FC in BC League One.
