According to our sources, GBC’s GTV Sports+ will broadcast the Ghana Premier League for the next five seasons after reaching a successful agreement with the Ghana Football Association.
The football’s governing body opened a new bidding window for all interested media outfits after the expiration of their deal with StarTimes last month. The competitive bidding process saw several media outlets vying for the rights to broadcast the Ghana Premier League, but in the end, GTV Sports+ emerged as the winner.
The GFA accepted GTV Sports+’s offer, which was deemed the best among other bids. The two parties will now sign a five-year agreement worth $2 million US Dollars, making GTV Sports+ the exclusive Television Rights owner of the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.
