The FC Hermannstadt enforcer has revealed he looks up to the former Barcelona and Manchester City star to step up his game.
Promising Ghanaian midfielder Baba Alhassan has said former Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure is his role model.
“For me I like Yaya Toure, he is my role model, now when you come to my team my teammates call me Yaya Toure,” Alhassan told Sportsworldghana.com in an interview.
“Yaya Toure was a top-notch midfielder during his playing days and I followed hil so much and that is why I model my game after him.” He added.
The 22-year old moved to Hermannstadt in October 2020 on a three-year deal and has been a key contributor for manager Marius Măldărășanu’s side with some impressive performances. Baba had previously worked with Marius Măldărășanu at Real Valladolid.
Petrolul FC qualified to the Romanian Premier league alongside FC Hermannstadt with 63 and and 61 points respectively.
Baba Alhassan prospect scored 7 goals in 27 matches during the 2021/22 campaign to ensure that Hermannstadt who suffered relegation in the 2019/2020 season returned to the elite division.
