Ghana Premier League club, Legon Cities has successfully completed the signing of French forward Stephane Ernest Bombelenga in the ongoing transfer window, according to an exclusive report from Sportsworldghana.com.
Initially, the player had been recommended to the Hearts of Oak board by their newly appointed technical director, Rene Hiddink, who held a strong admiration for Bombelenga. However, the deal fell through as the Hearts of Oak technical team did not find the player to their liking.
Following the unsuccessful negotiations with Hearts of Oak, Legon Cities, in their quest to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season, have secured the services of Bombelenga on a two-year deal after he passed his medical examination.
The 25-year-old attacker most recently plied his trade with the UK-based club Eastbourne Borough in the National League South, which is the sixth-tier of English football. Prior to that, Bombelenga has played for several clubs in England, including Gosport Borough FC, East Grinstead Athletic, Metropolitan FC, Welling United, and Ipswich Town.
Additionally, Bombelenga had a brief stint at The Sportis Social FC Łochowo in Poland as part of his football journey.
