Dortmund assistant coach Otto Addo and Ibrahim Tanko are currently being considered to take over the Black Stars coaching role on an interim basis for the the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs following the reported sacking of Serbian manager Milovan Rajevac.
Milovan Rajevac has been reportedly been sacked following the Black Stars disastrous Afcon campaign in Cameroon.
Ghana’s campaign ended in the group stage after taking just one point from three games in Group C, playing against Morocco, Gabon and Comoros respectively.
The Black Stars finished bottom in the group standings and turned out to be the poorest campaign the four-time champions have seen since their maiden appearance at the continental event.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, have directed the Ghana Football Association to reconstitute a new management committee team to commence preparations for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs in March.
Otto Addo who was appointed as assistant coach to Milovan Rajevac in September last year, failed to join the Black Stars technical team for the AFCON over claims that he would seriously be engaged at Dortmund.
However, he’s being tipped to lead the Black Stars team together with Ibrahim Tanko who also assisted former coach Kwasi Appiah at the 2019 tournament in Egypt.
