Ghanaian defender Mohamed Salisu could make a shocking move back to the Spanish La Liga in the impending summer transfer window.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that Barcelona coach Xavi Hernanadez has presented a shortlist of defenders he wants to the management as he wishes to get at least two of them.
Salisu is in the list alongside Villareal’s Pau Torres, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte and Juventus’ Matthijs De Ligt.
Salisu, featured for Real Valladolid before arriving at St Mary’s in 2020, is under contract with Saints until the summer of 2024.
If acquired, Salisu will likely partner Andreas Christensen who is on his way to Barcelona.
