Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison could be handed a debut Black Star call-up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier play-off clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria later this month, SportsworldGhana.com can report exclusively.
The former Ashanti Gold striker who currently plays for Simba SC’s impressive form on the continent has caught the attention of the Black Stars technical team headed by Otto Addo and could include him in the squad to play in the two games against Nigeria.
Ghana, four time African champions, will host Nigeria in the 20,000 –capacity Cape Coast Sports Stadium from 7.30 pm on Friday 25th March, with the reverse leg set for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, 29th March from 6 pm.
The winner over two legs will earn one of Africa’s five tickets to the 22nd FIFA World Cup finals, scheduled for 14th November – 18th December this year in Qatar.
Morrison, 28 has been in top form for Simba SC since joining them from rivals Young Africans.
The talented attacker is set to sign a new deal and will get a signing bonus of $100,000.
