FC Nania extended their impressive run in the MTN FA Cup by eliminating Premier League side Accra Great Olympics, securing a spot in the round of 16.
The Division One team clinched victory with a 5-3 penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw in full time at the Tema Sports Stadium.
Great Olympics initially took the lead in the game, dominating the first half. However, a swift comeback from Nania in the second half saw them equalize just three minutes after the break.
The thrilling encounter led to a penalty shootout, where Nania’s goalkeeper emerged as the hero by saving two spot kicks from the topflight side.
The upcoming draw next week will determine Nania’s opponents in the next stage of the competition.
