Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC playmaker, Fabio Gama Dos Santos is back to the team and helped the Porcupine Warriors to beat City rivals Kumasi King Faisal FC last Sunday and could decide the outcome of Sunday’s Super Clash against Accra Hearts of Oak SC in Kumasi.
The Brazilian played over 70 minutes when the Porcupine Warriors got their revenge over the Insha Allah lads in Week 23 clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Gama wasn’t as great as he used to be for the Porcupines but showed great glimpses of his qualities and abilities.
He clearly showed in his performance that he lacked sharpness after being on the sidelines for a while but also created enough with his his SwiftKey movements.
He drew a foul close to the box which was converted by Imoro Ibrahim who scored a sumptuous free-kick from the resulting free-kick after the Brazilian was brought down by Joseph Gordon.
He continued to create set pieces situations for Kotoko and saw Imoro hit the bar from a free-kick he won on the edge of the box.
With the Super Clash coming thick and fast, Gama could be be Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s hidden treasure for the match against the Rainbow Boys due to his ability to draw fouls near the box.
He could become the life wire for the Reds as he could come on to create chances from set piece situations to help the Porcupines get their revenge over their rivals with Imoro’s recent accuracy in set pieces delivery.
