Emerging Ghanaian youth defender, Nathaniel Adjei, has earned a spot in the Swedish Allsvenskan Team of the Week following his outstanding performance for Hammarby IF over the weekend.
Adjei has become a key figure in the Hammarby squad this season, showcasing his impressive defending skills during their recent match against Vernamo IFK.
After the game, he was awarded the Most Valuable Player title, achieving a remarkable rating of 79. This award marks the 21-year-old’s third of the season, and his exceptional performances have drawn the attention of several top European clubs.
Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Adjei during the upcoming winter transfer window. Additionally, Marti Cifuentes, who recently left Bajens to join English Championship club Queens Park Rangers, is rumored to be seeking a reunion with the versatile defender.
So far this season, Adjei has made 22 appearances for Hammarby in all competitions, cementing his status as a promising young talent.
