Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has downplayed concerns about fatigue within his squad following their 1-0 victory against Nsoatreman in a rescheduled Ghana Premier League match at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The win marked Kotoko’s second victory in four games this season, keeping them unbeaten with two draws and two wins, including a 1-1 draw with Berekum Chelsea.
Despite signs of fatigue late in the game, Dr. Ogum explained in a post-match interview that his players have managed their energy levels well and are not consistently affected by fatigue.
“Sometimes it’s all about energy distribution, and when it gets to the 75th minute, you see signs of fatigue. But unlike the game against Berekum Chelsea, after the 75th minute today, we were in charge,” said Dr. Ogum.
Next, Asante Kotoko will face Accra Lions on Sunday, October 6, at 15:00 GMT in Obuasi. Lions defeated Kotoko 3-2 last season at the Baba Yara Stadium on their way to a second-place finish in the league.
