FC Lorient’s promising defender, Nathaniel Adjei, has been forced to pull out of the Ghana squad following an injury sustained during a clash against AS Monaco.
Adjei, who was set for his debut with the Black Stars, suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s match, disrupting his inclusion in the team’s forthcoming friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
Despite his setback, Adjei’s meteoric rise from Hammarby IF to FC Lorient has been remarkable, and his absence will be felt by the squad.
