FC Samartex has clinched a historic 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title after a narrow victory over Bibiani Gold Stars.
In a crucial matchweek 32 fixture at the Nsenkyire Stadium, Samartex secured a 1-0 win thanks to Emmanuel Mamah’s decisive 45th-minute strike.
This victory propels the Samreboi-based club to 58 points, firmly placing them at the top of the league standings.
With Aduana Stars and Medeama, the closest challengers, both suffering 1-0 defeats to Bechem United and Heart of Lions respectively, they remain at 49 points each.
With just two games left in the season, Samartex’s lead is now insurmountable, stretching to nine points ahead of the second and third-placed teams.
This triumph marks Samartex’s first-ever Ghana Premier League title, achieved in only their second season in the Ghanaian topflight, reflecting their relentless form throughout the campaign.
