Despite the lack of goals, FC Samartex showed resilience throughout the match, holding their ground against a strong ASKO de Kara side. The draw comes as part of Samartex’s pre-season tour in Togo, where they are fine-tuning their squad ahead of the new season.
The Timber Boys recently lifted the Nsenkyire Cup after securing a 1-0 victory over Legon Cities last week, adding momentum to their pre-season preparations.
The Ghanaian champions are set to face Cameroon’s Victoria United of Limbe on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League Preliminary stage.
The match will take place at the Douala Stadium in Japoma, Cameroon, where Samartex aims to make a strong start in their continental campaign.
