FC Samartex, the Ghana Premier League champions, have advanced to the second round of the CAF Champions League playoffs following a 2-0 aggregate win over Victoria United.
In the second leg of the first-round tie, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, FC Samartex secured a 1-0 victory with a goal from Isaac Afful in the 8th minute of the first half.
The team held firm throughout the match to preserve their early lead and ensure progression to the next stage.
FC Samartex will now prepare to face Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the second round of the playoffs, with the tie scheduled to take place in September.
