Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have advanced to the second round of the CAF Champions League preliminary stage following a 2-0 aggregate victory over Victoria United from Cameroon.
After securing a narrow 1-0 win in the first leg in Cameroon, FC Samartex hosted Victoria United at the Accra Sports Stadium for the second leg.
In a match with numerous opportunities, Isaac Afful’s solitary goal in the 8th minute of the first half was the difference-maker, securing a 1-0 victory on the day.

The aggregate win propels FC Samartex to the next round of the playoffs, where they will face Raja Casablanca in their bid to reach the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition.
