Former Ghana and Hearts of Oak SC striker, Prince Tagoe has heaped praises on AS Roma wonder-kid Felix Afena Ohene-Gyan after his debut against Nigeria last Friday.

The youngster has won Tagoe over with his impressive showings in the crucial Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs first leg against super power, Nigeria.

In an interview with Connect FM, Tagoe says the young striker did a brilliant job and reminds him of himself.

“Afena Gyan has showed he is a proper striker, we didn’t take a striker to the last Afcon and it was a problem. But Afena Gyan is a proper striker just like myself and Asamoah Gyan”

The 19-year-old Ghanaian versatile forward played 81 minutes for Ghana in their 0-0 draw with Nigeria in the World Cup qualifier.

However, Black Stars need a win or any type of a scoring draw to give them a fourth appearance at the World Cup.

The titanic second leg clash is set for the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, March 29.

The winner over two legs will earn one of Africa’s five tickets to the 22nd FIFA World Cup finals, scheduled for 14th November – 18th December this year in Qatar.
