The 2023 FIFA Club World Cup kicked off with an easy win for the Saudi Arabia side Al Ittihad with three first-half goals condemning the New Zealand side to a 3-0 defeat.
Brazillian forward Romarinho opened the scoring for Al Ittihad in the 29th minute. Ngolo Kante added the second five minutes later for Al Ittihad as Karim Benzema scored the third to round up a beautiful first half for Marcello Gallardo’s side.
Al Ahly from Egypt will play against Al Ittihad in the Quarter Finals whilst Club Leon of Mexico will lock horns against Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan.
