FIFA has banned Albanian club FK Tirana for failing to pay Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak their percentage of the transfer of midfielder Winful Cobbinah to Egyptian side FC Ceramica Cleopatra.
The Albanian club failed to pay the Rainbow Boys their quota of the players transfer fee despite FIFA’s directives.
After Hearts report to FIFA, the Blue and Whites were directed to pay the Ghanaian club what is due them within 45 days. This period elapsed on Friday, 18th February 2022.
For failing to comply with FIFA’s ruling on the case, the world’s football governing body has placed a ban on them from registering new foreign players.
Moreover, and in accordance with the afore mentiond decision, the Albanian football association is requested to strictly adhere to the directives.
