Congolese giants TP Mazembe have been given 45 working days by FIFA to settle a debt of $36,000 owed to former Medeama SC goalkeeper Boris Mandjui Junior or face disciplinary sanctions.
According to the ruling, the amount comprises $30,000 for non-compliance with the player’s contract and an additional $6,000 as back pay.
The Ivorian shot-stopper, who previously played for Medeama in the Ghana Premier League, took his case to FIFA after Mazembe allegedly failed to honor contractual agreements following his move.
Failure to comply within the stipulated period could result in sanctions, including a possible transfer ban or point deductions for the Congolese club.
TP Mazembe is yet to issue an official response to FIFA’s ruling.
