Argentina lost 3-0 to Mali in the 3rd place match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Playoffs. 16-year-old Ibrahim Diara scored the first goal in the 9th minute. It was his 4th goal of the tournament as he has scored one in each of Mali’s last four games in the tournament.
Mamadou Doumbia scored Mali’s second in the 45th minute as they took a commanding lead before the break.
Hamidou Makalou scored Mali’s third goal three minutes into the second half. Mali recorded an emphatic win over the much fancied Argentines in Suruka.
The West Africans finished third in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Germany and France will play in the finals tomorrow at noon at the Manahan Stadium in Surukata.
