France has joined Germany and Argentina as the teams that have progressed to the semi-finals of the ongoing U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

An 83rd-minute strike from the 17-year-old midfielder Ismael Bouneb consigned Uzbekistan, the surprise team of the tournament to a defeat that has sent them home.

The Central Asian nation and former soviet Republic member eliminated England in the Round 16th stage with a shocking 2-1 win against England.

Uzbekistan will be proud of the performance they have put up in the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
