Burkina Faso won 2-1 against South Korea at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung with goals from Jack Diarra and Aboubakar Camara whilst Kim Mynug-Jun’s goal was just consolation for South Korea. The game was a mere exercise for both teams as they were eliminated before kick-off having lost their two opening games. Burkina Faso finished third with three points with South Korea losing all three games.
France thrashed the USA by 3-0 in the other group game with a brace from Tincres and Meupiyo adding the third. France tops the group with 9 points, followed by the USA with 6, Burkina with 3 and South Korea with 0.
Group F
Germany made it 3 wins in 3 games after beating Venezuela 3-0. Two first-half goals from Ramsak and da Silva Moreira put the Germans ahead before the break. Ramsak scored his second in the 57th minute making it 3-0 to the Germans.
In the other game of the group, Mexico blew away New Zealand by 4-0 with Carillo scoring a brace and a goal each from Barajas and Fernandes. Germany and Mexico finished first and second respectively in the group with Venezuela finishing third. They have all qualified for the knock phase.
