Argentina’s Claudio Echeverri nearly put Argentina ahead within 10 seconds of kickoff as his effort after rounding the keeper went just wide off the post.
It was a sign of a beautiful match to follow as Argentina dominated the early stages of the game. Dortmund forward Paris Brunner opened the score for Germany with the German’s first attack of the game in the 9th minute.
Augustine Ruberto put the South Americans ahead 2-1 before the first half with a brace in the 39th and the 4th additional minute of the first half. Paris Brunner levelled the scores for Germany in the 58th minute of the second half.
Everybody thought Max Moerstedt’s 69th-minute goal was the winner until Augustine Ruberto’s third for the day brought Argentina back to the game in the 97th minute.
Germany won 4-2 on penalties as Argentina missed two penalties and Germany also missed one.
France and Mali winner will play against Germany in the finals and Argentina will play against the loser in the bronze medal match.
