Ghana’s Black Princesses posted a 3-0 away win over Ethiopia FIFA in the U20 World Cup qualifiers final round first leg clash against Ethiopia at the Abebe Bikila Stadium, Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Coach Ben Fokuo’s side were simply unplayable as as they dominated play throughout the full 90 minutes of the of the first leg encounter.
Salamatu Abdulai scored a brace in the 29th and 38th minute before Cecilia Nyama struck in the 44th minute to seal an emphatic 3-0 first half win for the Black Princesses.
At least a draw for Ghana in the reverse leg will qualify the team to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup tournament which will be hosted by Costa Rica.
Back from break, the Ghanaian team proved very difficult for Ethiopia to hold on to in the game as they continued their impressive form to maintain their 3-0 lead after referee Florentina Zablon Chief from Tanzania blew her whistle to end proceedings at the Abebe Bikila Stadium.
