Fifty young talents scouted from various regions of Ghana have received invitations to attend a training camp at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The selected players have been divided into two groups, with the first batch scheduled to begin camp on Sunday, October 8, 2023. The second group will join the camp on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Among the forty players initially invited were participants from the recent four-nation U-16 tournament in Serbia, as well as players from the last WAFU B U-20 tournament held in Abidjan in July. Additionally, individuals from the previous national U-17 team, known as the Black Starlets, were included in the list.
Following a successful initial assessment phase, the National U-20 technical team has progressed to the second phase. During this phase, they will assess fifty players who were scouted from various regions across the country.
The technical team plans to travel to all ten football regions in Ghana to conduct training sessions and engage in friendly matches.
This initiative aims to provide every talented player with the opportunity to compete for a spot on the next U-20 team and to uncover hidden talents throughout the nation.
