Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah shared his excitement after scoring his first league goal for KRC Genk in the Belgium Pro League. The 18-year-old played a key role in Genk’s 4-0 victory over KV Mechelen at the Cegeka Arena.
“First of many. We go again on Thursday,” Bonsu Baah expressed on social media, eagerly anticipating Genk’s upcoming match against Ferencvarosi in the Europa Conference League.
Genk took the lead in the 16th minute, thanks to Bonsu Baah’s goal. Former Belgium youth star Bryan Heynen extended the lead for Genk in the 41st minute, assisted by USA defender Mark McKenzie.
Moroccan youngster Bilal El Khannouss added another goal for Genk in the 76th minute, and Anouar Ait El Hadj sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal.
Bonsu Baah joined the Belgian giants during the summer transfer window, coming from the Norwegian outfit Sarpsborg, and has quickly become an integral part of the team.
