Great news for the Black Stars of Ghana as highly-rated defender Mohammed Salisu has successfully recovered from his injury ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The center-back, who had been sidelined since the latter part of the 2022/23 football season during his time with Southampton, secured a transfer to AS Monaco at the end of that campaign. Unfortunately, a recurring injury kept him out of action.
After months of battling with the injury, Mohammed Salisu is now fully recovered and poised to make his comeback for AS Monaco in the upcoming clash against PSG on Friday, November 24.
Today, he has been included in the AS Monaco squad for the trip to the French capital tomorrow.
Ghanaians are optimistic that Salisu maintains his fitness in the coming weeks, securing a spot in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON.
