Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey has been named in Besiktas’ lineup for their Europa Conference League group stage opener against Belgian giants Club Brugge.
Amartey, who recently returned from an injury that caused him to miss international duty, has traveled with the team to Belgium. He is anticipated to be in the starting lineup as Besiktas aims for a positive result in their European away fixture.
The 28-year-old defender, who joined Besiktas as a free agent during the summer transfer window, has already made six appearances for the club and even found the back of the net. His move to Turkey followed an eight-year stint with English club Leicester City.
On the other side, Ghanaian compatriot Dennis Odoi is also expected to feature for Club Brugge in Thursday night’s matchup.
