Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is set to make his return for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.
He has been included in the squad for their upcoming match against RC Lens in the 2023-2024 season.
Partey had been sidelined due to a reported groin injury, causing him to miss six significant matches, including games against Manchester United, Brentford, Tottenham, Everton, Bournemouth, and PSV Eindhoven. His last appearance for Arsenal was on August 26, 2023, when they drew 2-2 with Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
RC Lens will host Arsenal in tonight’s game at the Stade Balloaert-Delelis, kicking off at 19:00 GMT. Partey has now recovered from his injury and is available as an option in Mikel Arteta’s midfield for this French encounter.
Arsenal made their return to the Champions League after a six-year absence with a 4-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven in their first group game at the Emirates Stadium, but Partey missed that match due to his injury.
